7 stone weight gain in 12 months, cysts in ovaries and pain

I am 21 years old and 5"8 tall and have always been active and of a healthy weight (usually around 10.5-11 stone) active, go to the gym and was a a County cross country runner. (the largest I have ever been previous to now was 12 stone.) In the last year I have gained 7.7 stone and am now 18.7 stone - in one year! I was admitted to hospital in April as I had lower abdominal pain, I was kept in hospital for 4 days and they found cysts on my ovaries and told me to go back to the doctor's to sort out possible PCOS, when I got taken into hospital they told me I had Pelvic Inflammatory Disease and gave me antibiotics for this - the tests came back that I DID NOT have this and I was sent home with Tramadol for the pain. I went back to the Doc's regarding the weight gain and the PCOS and they suggested a healthy eating plan! I went back to the Doc's a few months later as I am still eating healthily and doing 6 1/2 hours of gym a week and I am still rapidly putting on weight and the doctor I saw suggested anti depressants! I am not depressed or over eating! I have a personal trainer at the gym that I workout with 4 times a week, I also do boxing, spinning, skipping and zumba as well as running. I have had no period for over 11 months (I am currently not on the pill and have always been fairly regular previous to now) now and am making sure I exercise regularly and eat no more than 800 balanced calories a day yet I am still putting on weight. There is family history of diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol in my family even though we are all fit, and active. I am frustrated that I have put on so much weight and am praying you may be able to give me some help as to what I can do? I have BUPA cover through work but cannot get a referral unless my doctor refers me which they haven't done. Please understand that 7 and a half stone in one year is driving me insane. I have been back to my doctor's on numerous times and nothing seems to be done, I think they assume I eat to much and move too less and am hoping for a lazy way out which is not the case. I have always been slim and active and this weight gain has caused me to break up with my long term partner. Please help thank you.

    Weight gain and laxative abuse.

I am a 49 year old married woman, mother of twins aged 7 years. One of the twins has autism and has no speech. Since having the twins in 2002 I have eaten well however I have a long history of very heavy laxative abuse resulting in physical symptoms of blood blisters in my mouth, anal prolapse and eating problems. I probably eat more now than I ever did. I have recently started to put weight on however when I exercise I gain weightand I feel quite spacey. I don't benefit from exercise in fact I feel a lot worse after exercise. I also don't sweat at all during exercise. I used to exercise regularly, jogging and aerobics until 2005. My knees are also quite painful especially going downstairs where I have ot use a hand rail. I am also menopausal and have strong mood swings and am tired all the time. I work part time as a Social Worker and sleep for 5 hours on the days that I have off. I am taking 40mg prozac daily originally for anxiety after having my boys. the prozac is also prescribed for the symptoms of menopause. The weight gain is depressing me (I am nearly 9 stones and am 5 feet 4 inches tall). My GP is baffled, I have had a couple of blood tests which have been normal. I would be grateful if you could offer advice particularly about the difficulties in exercise. I would also find a tentative diagnosis helpful as I feel that I need to see a Specialist but don't know which type of Specialist to be referred to. Is there any particular Specialist that could help, I live in **************. Thank you for your help.
