Decompensated liver disease
Hi,
In January my mother was diagnosed with decompensated liver disease. She was in hospital for a week and they drained her stomach of fluid of some sort.
She is incredibly thin, seems to have lost all muscle and her memory is patchy and she gets confused easily.
After some tests the GP told her she had about 6 months to live. She's halfway through that now.
What will her remaining time be like? How does liver disease actually kill you? Will she need care?
