Swollen glands and bitter taste in mouth
Hi there. I have had swollen glands and a bitter taste in my mouth for months now. At times, I also think my breath is bad. I have seen a dentist, and although I have had gum disease in the past, it's not my teeth. I have also seen my GP twice, and following my last visit, was prescribed Amoxicillin as she thought it might be a chronic throat infection. However, this treatment has not worked. I am also worried about going back to my GP as they seem quite dismissive of my symptoms.
I really am at my wits end and am feeling depresses. I am worried about taking to people because of my breath, and have stopped going out. My food also tastes horrible. I have tried everything to combat the taste, from sugar free chewing gum, Gaviscon, pro-biotic yoghurts, but nothing helps. Please can you offer some advice on what this could be and ways to treat? Thanks
